This session focuses on empathy, transdisciplinary collaboration, the art of presence in a collaborative response to family violence, and how to shift from a focus on problems to supporting well-being for those experiencing family violence.

Through her work with NOVA and the National Center for Victims of Crime, Chris developed public policy initiatives and training programs at both the federal and state levels. Most notably, she was cofounder of, and senior faculty for, OVC's National Victim Assistance Academy.

She was also an adjunct professor at the California State University Fresno and Washburn University, where she taught courses on victims' rights and services.
